Job description ARTOC Group, an international conglomerate, looking to recruit Assistants within the busy Chairman’s office. Ideal candidates would speak native English language. In addition, IT and organization skills along with a proven track record within a similar environment. Candidates must be articulate, good team players and have both a flexible and positive approach to work. Shorthand and French would be an asset but not required. The duties to include:

• Provide organizational and logistical support for the C&MD to assist him in the successful accomplishment of his various responsibilities for organizations in which he is involved outside the Group. These include but are not limited to: Chairman of Egypt’s International Economic Forum, Member of the Egypt-US President’s Council, Council Member and GLT in the World Economic Forum, Council/Board Member of the International Chamber of Commerce, Council Member of the Prince of Wales Business Leaders Forum.

• Perform all necessary actions to prepare for, arrange and organize speaking engagements, conference participation and the like for the C&MD.

• Travel with the Chairman and Managing Director and she must ensure complete loyalty, confidentiality and discipline.
• Anticipate, plan and perform required organizational duties to ensure the professional, efficient and effective fulfillment of the C&MD’s objectives.

• Control and manage paper flow into the C& MD’s office. This includes reading all incoming correspondences, drafting or preparing final responses to correspondence (independently or as directed by the C&MD), presenting and discussing important correspondence with the C&MD, determining which correspondence should or may be handled by other Group managers or staffs, and generally ensuring that all correspondences received in the C& MD’s office are responded to in a timely and effective manner.

How to apply The successful applicant will travel on international business trips organizing meetings, conference participation and attendance, private dinners and travel arrangements with the Chairman and Managing Directors private air crew and accommodation requirements. When not travelling, the successful applicant will be required to assist the Chairman and Managing Directors Office Manager in the busy daily duties such as organizing meetings and diary scheduling, dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence, writing and distributing press statements.

This position is suitable to a person that has excellent written and oral English, knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage but not essential, well organized and has excellent time management.
