Job description The Distillery London ( produces, manages and grows online video channels by creating social, shareable video experiences. We are creative, we are data driven and we’re riding a serious growth curve.

We need to bring in a brilliant data driven, creative thinking, graphics and animation first Production Manager. Warning: this is not your average 9-5, and we never aim to be. Hours may be long, each day will be different, but if you have great ideas, are agile and love pastries this may be the place for you!

The role will entail managing graphics and animation work across all relevant projects as well as all social video content. The purpose of the role is to ensure smooth workflows from the development and pre-production stage, throughout post-production and into final delivery. The Production Manager will look after the development of graphics/animation content for a variety of clients, commissioners, and social video for our own in-house online publishing channels.

Reporting to our Executive Producer, our Production Manager will be responsible for:

- Overseeing the entire production process for all graphics/animation and social video projects
- Creating, managing, and reconciling budgets for these projects
- Creating and managing effective project schedules
- Assisting with graphic, creative and story development
- Managing staff throughout projects including sourcing and booking freelancers as needed
- Liaising with any third parties involved in projects
- Ensuring all deadlines are met, particularly in post-production
- Delivering final projects to clients in the required format
- Interpreting analytical data from online publishers i.e YouTube and Facebook, and reporting this information back to clients when required
- Client management (when needed)

The Production Manager will require the following experience/qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years in a production office environment for film/video content
- Minimum 1 year experience working in environment with graphics/animation content
- Solid experience in a post production environment
- Solid experience working on and managing shoots
- Solid experience using DSLR / C300 or similar cameras
- Solid experience using livestreaming
- Understanding of the stages involved in producing animated content
- Understanding of the process of building graphics and motion graphics
- Current YouTube Certification

The Production Manager will require the following skills:

- Ability to build and manage effective budgets of varying scale
- Ability to create production schedules and ensure deadlines are met
- Understanding of animation/visual design
- Knowledge of different formats and codecs, including which are required for which platforms
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Ability to interpret analytical data from different publishing platforms (Facebook certification would be great)
- Understanding of online video platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram), the differences between what they require, and how to optimise content for each of them
- Ability to juggle multiple projects
- Ability to delegate tasks as required
- Ability to work independently
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
