| Job description | Decipher and its West London TV research lab, iBurbia (based in Chiswick W4), is looking for an energetic, motivated, and organised person to join our research team as a Fieldwork Manager.
Overview Decipher is a media research company that specialises in television and digital media. Our TV lab, iBurbia Studios, is where we surround ourselves with the latest TV technology and work with the industry to understand how TV viewing is changing, the impact on advertising, and the strategies for broadcasters and platforms to understand and negotiate the changing world of media consumption. Decipher’s research involves both qualitative and quantitative primary research, including recruitment, moderation, fieldwork, analysis, and project management. We run focus groups and interviews in our labs in Chiswick, and also manage a UK wide consumer database for our quantitative work. Our research is growing, and we are now looking for a Fieldwork Manager to manage research projects for our clients, to manage our in-house recruitment, both qualitative and quantitative, and to grow and develop our consumer database. Recruitment involves a lot of contact with our respondents, so we’re looking for someone highly personable, confident, and interactive, who is also very organised. The successful candidate would have a background in recruitment and/or primary research fieldwork of one year or more, and can demonstrate experience with primary research techniques, and management of personnel and/or databases. We are also looking for someone highly motivated to latch onto the role, learn our processes, and develop new ways of recruiting, managing our contacts, and growing our database. The role will attract a salary in the range £20 - £25k (depending on skills and experience) and will report to the Director of Research. Responsibilities The role will have following principle responsibilities: • Recruiting for our research projects • Managing the logistics of respondents when research is underway • Maintaining, updating, and expanding our recruitment database • Managing the relationship with our recruitment database, including churn, panel refreshing, support, and new recruitment • Helping out with the daily work of the Research team, including editing reports, collating graphics or information, working on screeners and discussion guides, and other research-related tasks as required. • Providing recommendations to the Research Team on ways to improve our online tools for recruiting and managing our members, tracking our panel usage, and managing short term and long term plans for developing this area HOW TO APPLY: Please send CV’s and covering letter to careers@decipher.co.uk, quoting the job description of "Fieldwork Manager" in the Subject Line.
