| Job description | Ginger Jar Food is a young, dynamic catering and private cookery class company offering fresh, innovative food to private and corporate clients. We have worked on small, intimate events for six diners, right up to canapés and full bar events for 400+ people.
We are currently looking for commercially aware, experienced chefs to join the Ginger Jar team. You would be doing hands on cooking, either prepping from our base kitchen or larger commercial kitchens, then moving to client site to work on dinner parties, canapé receptions, weddings or any manner of corporate or private function. The ideal candidates will have experience cooking in a commercial environment, be creative in their cookery skills, and preferably will have some professional training as a chef. They must have excellent communication skills (written, verbal and in person), be good with clients and have a real passion for great food. Fluent English and eligibility to work in the UK essential. A clean driving licence and confidence to drive a small van are preferable, but not essential. Rates dependent on experience.
