Job Title: Sustainability Consultant Level: Entry/Mid Level Group: Energy Report To: Director Job Location: North West England PURPOSE OF THE JOB: An opportunity with great career progression for the engineers who wants to follow the Employer CIBSE Approved Training Program, which will enable you to reach a level of professional qualification of charted engineer with professional experience. To provide advice and guidance on technical and behavioural energy management , low carbon strategies, policies and energy efficient equipment including renewables. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNATBILITIES AND SKILLED REQUIRED: • Advising on low carbon strategy and techniques, renewable energy requirement and commitments across the UK providing sustainable options for reducing energy consumption within the development. • Familiarity with Part L of the building regulations, knowledge of current energy crisis and sustainability focused issues. • A knowledge of renewable and energy requirements and commitments across the UK. • Identifying potential emission savings and assisting client to reduce energy consumption. • Understanding of energy modelling of buildings and sites. • Prepare, ready for tender, specifications, designs, drawings, equipment schedules and contract documentation. • You will be accountable in preperation of feasibility reports, project design proposal, specifications, involved in design phase and project management and commissioning. • Issue in conjunction with the client, contract documentation to tender, adjudicate and recommend appropriate contractor to meet project requirements. • On some projects you will be acting as a lead consultant, undertake all aspects of project management as defined by the client in his letter of appointment. • You ar expected to absorve legal requirements and professional guidlines of the relative professional bodies. • You are required to keep up-to-date with developments in Engineering through undertaking continuing professional development on a regular basis. • You will be expected to participating in client’s meeting as well as an internal discussion so that client’s requirements are met. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: • Degree needed, preferred Masters (4 years) in Electrical/Mechanical or Building Services • The ability to operate within ISO9001 & 14001 processes • Ideally Chartered Engineer • Energy Performance Certified • Low Carbon Consultant (DEC, EPC, TM44) |
