Through our offices in London, New York and Singapore we roll out our expert training programmes globally to some of the biggest brands and agencies such as AMV BBDO, OMD, Leo Burnett, Warner Bros, Time Warner, Vodafone and Mastercard. We are a small company at a time of immense growth and we are looking for a Financial controller to guide the company at this crucial time. Offices will soon be opening in South America in 2011/12 and with a wealth of opportunities opening up across Europe also there are plenty of areas for further expansion. This year UTalkMarketing will drive revenues in excess of Ł2m and we have big plans to continue our growth. The Financial Controller will play a key role in this. About the job: Reporting into the EMEA Managing Director you will lead the accounting function from the head office in London. Key responsibilities • Improvement of existing processes and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company’s finances • Hands on Financial Control of; balance sheet, P&L, VAT returns, management accounts • Consolidation of the monthly results world-wide • Tax compliance including income tax, VAT and corporation tax • Annual and monthly forecasting and budget control • Act as the main point of contact to external auditors and provide all required information. • Recommend changes that will improve the company's financial performance and financial controls. |

| How to apply | Skills and Experience
• Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA) • Demonstrable recent experience of controlling all aspects of a ‘SME’ finance department • Previous experience in a similar position, including experience of providing Financial Control across a group of companies. • A good understanding of various accounting/CRM systems • Contract accounting experience within an international organisation • Experience in preparing reports and analysis on the performance of the business • Involvement in the implementation of processing and control systems Experience in the application of internal control procedures and frameworks • UK operational experience is essential - any experience of USA operations would be an advantage but is not essential • Interpersonal skills sufficient to support, advise and influence managers from different parts of the business whilst providing strong financial control where necessary • Strong IT literacy, Microsoft Excel in particular • Critical thinking and good analytical skills • Hands-on approach and proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines |
