Please provide a cover letter on application. We are an established publishing company, producing several B2B publications aimed at the finance industry, and organizing major conferences around the world. We have in-house Content Management Systems which are used by our journalists, marketing team and other staff to publish our content, which is subscription based. We work towards increasing traffic and conversions, improving the system and adding new elements to it i.e. community, search, data tools etc. We are looking for a Webmaster to supervise the Content Management Systems, support the staff using the systems, help develop new elements and lead Search Engine Optimisation activities and monitoring. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing blogs, community websites, social media, databases, and have proven experience with web analytics and web-marketing, specifically with Google Analytics. Duties • Providing training and support to end-users on CMS and other web/digital content tools • Quality control: ensuring staff adhere to house-style and SEO recommendations when creating content • Managing relationship with our web support agency, monitoring, reporting and helping to resolve technical issues relating to our websites • Monitoring and reporting on website’s traffic and search engine ranking, producing web traffic stats and reports, as well as CMS related stats and reports • Actively improving SEO using various techniques, keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in this area, contributing to increased traffic and conversions • Supporting the marketing team with social media campaigns • Working with the web team to validate development ideas, manage outsourced development projects and testing phases. Knowledge / Skills • 2+ years experience working in a web environment • Understanding the principles of websites structure, taxonomies and access controlled content • Proven experience with web statistics analysis i.e. Google Analytics • Knowledge of how to implement Search Engine Optimisation methodology • Good understanding of ‘User experience’, ‘User engagement’ and conversion • Background in HTML and other programming languages is preferable • Excellent use of Excel and/or other databases • Good communication skills at all levels, written and verbal • Written reporting and documentation experience • Training abilities Behavioural Competencies • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines • Able to get buy-in from internal customers • An active interest in web related developments, electronic communication and electronic marketing • Prioritising and time management |
