| Job description | Our company is looking for some creative students to produce few training videos. Please see below for more details:
About the project: We are a reputed IT Service provider company based in Central London. All of our services are provided online using internet and a standard web browser. Although we have user guides, we need to create training videos which will be quite useful for our customers. Most of our clientele is in shipping and the energy market. So your creativity will be seen and appreciated by the likes of BP, Shell, ExxonMobil, Morgan Stanley etc. Who fits the profile: You need to be creative and competent in video editing. We would prefer students who are currently enrolled in media and video production/editing courses. If you have the aptitude (and the spare time) and want to earn a little extra before Christmas, please contact us. Requirements: We do not require anything fancy, but the videos need to be well presented and easy to understand. The source of the video will be our own website in operation using few test accounts. Once logged in, you will need to record the screen while performing various actions based on different user roles. Video editing/effects and audio will have to be added to assist our customers to utilise our services efficiently. The video production will entail simple transitions, zooming, panning, text boxes and even audio. All of this will have to be synced and presented nicely. The final file format will need to be portable (MP4 or WMV) and each video will be in the range of 2-10 minutes. We have already prepared few scripts which you can improvise based on your level of your creativity. You should be based in London for easy commute to visit us in case you have any questions. Software: We can provide you a licenced copy of Camtasia Studio 7 for the duration of your work. Camtasia is a good suite for video capturing and editing. Please feel free to use any software of your choice as long as it is legally sourced. What is in it for you: You will be compensated for your time and effort. We can discuss the remuneration once you candidacy is confirmed. I can assure you that this project will be worthwhile and you will enjoy it. Additionally, you can put this project on your CV as valid experience with an established company. This will assist you in securing future positions in your field of career. Furthermore, if we are satisfied with the outcome of your work, we can offer you a retainer to engage your services for future video updates. This can even be your little side-line project alongside your primary job. Next steps: We need to get these videos done ASAP. Once you get in contact with us, and are selected, the project can be started as early as this week (week beginning 05 December). You will endeavour to complete the videos before the end of 2011. |
