| Job description | Harrods world-famous Food Halls are an exciting culinary experience, consisting of 5 rooms packed full of luxurious goods where you can find the best quality chocolate, pastries, cheese, vegetables, meat and tea.
One of the most interesting and popular counters in the Food Halls is the Fromagerie. The Fromagerie stocks over 300 different cheeses from all over the world and the counter prides itself on the excellent service it is able to provide to customers, as the staff are able to advise customers on taste, quality and uses of the cheeses. There is currently an exciting opportunity for someone who has a real passion for cheese, to join Harrods as a Sales Associate on a full time temporary basis form November 2009 until January 2010. The role is all about customer service and sharing your love of cheese with Harrods customers. Serving behind the counter, merchandising the shelves and the counters and making sure the cheeses are stored in the right conditions. You will thrive working in a team of fellow cheese lovers, attending tastings and discovering exciting new varieties. The ideal person for this role will have previous experience working on a cheese counter or be able to an interest in cheese, have excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate confidently and professionally. The Fromagerie is a very busy counter, so you must be able to work calmly under pressure whilst ensuring consistent quality of product and customer service.
