| Job description | Based in the heart of Chelsea, just a stones throw from the Kings Road, The Peer is a fun and vibrant independent free house pub that has recently been purchased by an experienced hands on Owner. With a New Head Chef in place, plans are set to be refurbishing in January and are looking to put things in place for what will undoubtably be a successful and busy Pub in the new year, with a french Brasserie dining concept in place.
This is a rare opportunity for the right candidate to work closely with a Great Head Chef in a unique environment to produce high quality dishes and menus. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who has a genuine ‘can-do’ attitude. You will be responsible for the day to day cleaning of the kitchen and general kitchen porter and "chefing" duties, but with a genuine passion for food, you will also be looking to learn and develop your skills with the support of the Head Chef and his team. A seasonal and completely uncomplicated homemade menu is planned, with a new kitchen and a fantastic site. Here is an opportunity join a team that will be operating between 3 to 5 pubs within as many years. Duties: You will be assisting the Head Chef in the day to day operations in the kitchen including mis en place and all cleaning duties. A clean and tidy approach at all times. You must be able to think fast on your feet and cope under pressure with several responsibilities at once. Assist the chef with any extra food preperation and services. Final closing checks of the kitchen. Salary negotiable plus a share of the house tips. All candidates will be considered.
