About K West...
K West Hotel & Spa, the trendy 4 star deluxe hotel in Shepherds Bush is currently searching for a fun, engaging and energetic Meetings & Events Executive to join our fantastic front office team! With 220 rooms, a holistic spa, fitness club and DJ in the bar on Friday and Saturday nights our Hotel is always buzzing with energy!

What will you be doing?
• Take and process all reservations and meeting room and event bookings promptly and accurately, ensuring all bookings are inputted into Opera and the events diary accurately, and in a timely manner
• To ensure the Meetings Diary is accurate at all times.
• Respond to and follow up on all queries, leads and requests in a timely manner and send out confirmations and quotes where required within 8 hours
• To follow up chases for confirmations, contracts and deposits from clients
• To complete reports on a weekly basis and distribute and communicate forthcoming events to all departments
• Hold weekly events meetings with relevant department heads and team members in order to communicate future events.
• To manage and communicate all large events, cocktail parties and dinners.
• To allocate rooms where appropriate and be aware of preferences
• To understand daily availability of all hotel rooms
• To ensure all provisional bookings and enquiries are acted upon and followed up, using the chase system, maximising conversion to confirmed business.
• To maintain accurate filing of all correspondence
• To coordinate all meetings and events efficiently and follow up effectively with the client after the event.

How to apply About you...
The ideal candidate will have atleast 18 months experience in a similar role, within a cool 4/5 star hotel and candidates who have 18 months supervisory experience in the front office or reservations department.

We require a candidate with:
• A fun, outgoing personality
• A “can do” positive and pro active attitude
• A calm, composed and friendly approach when under pressure.
• You have outstanding communication skills and speak excellent English
• You are a genuinely friendly and welcoming person who enjoys working with an international team and serving guests
