Job title Assistant facilities manager
Job description Effectively manage the day to day delivery of facilities services, through the designated supplies, ensuring maintenance of the highest standards.

Management of the site Facilities Helpline operation and acting as the central point of contact on all Facilities issues for the Reading site.

To ensure services are delivered to the agreed service levels and to develop strong relationships with staff, at all levels.

Key responsibilities ­Manage and agree rotas ­Arrange holiday and sickness cover ­Monitor performance in line with customer service standards ­Train and develop where necessary ­Provide reception cover during lunch breaks and absences and telephone cover during busy periods Liaise with Store Operations and ensure this remains within budget

*Office Management ­Ensure stationery and refreshments are ordered on time ­Ensure post is distributed and collected and franked on time ­Monitor the quality of the housekeeping and the cleaning staff performance ­Arrange repairs for photo copiers and fax machines ­Highlight areas for improvement To cover for Facilities Manager during absence (holiday, sickness)

*Administration ­Raise purchase orders and verify invoices ­Monitor expenditure on catering, waiting staff, agency staff ­Order business cards and check appropriate logos are used

*Vendor Management ­Identify, negotiate and select suppliers on behalf of the company.

Skills: *Strong communication and interpersonal skills *Excellent organisation and time management skills *Good negotiating and management skills *Ability to deal with fast paced and changing environments *Keen eye for detail *Able to multi-task *Positive and helpful manner *Punctual

Qualifications & experience

*Educated to A Level or degree standard *Microsoft Office packages proficiency to a high standard *Previous experience within a facilities position essential

£28,000 - 32,000

Mon to Fri: 9am until 5.30pm
