| Job description | Our Client is looking for an experienced Lead Project Engineer for a depot project in Neasden. The ideal applicant will be chartered with a proven background in LU specific projects. Further details are as follows:
The M&E Design Manager is responsible for managing the design consultants and trade contractors to ensure timely production, review and approval of design documentation. This includes ensuring that the designers provide assurance that their design meets LU Standards prior to issue to LU (1-538). Lead and manage the development and delivery of services (M&E, Comms and Fire) design aspects of the project. Managing and coordinating the services design teams to meet agreed programmes and budgets Supporting a number of tenders in the railway environment and in particular building services. Assist in providing design assurance to London Underground. Provide guidance, and assist in the management of the LU discipline engineers Develop work scope/action plan for undertaking services works; this includes tendering Undertaking the determination of the design scope and the subsequent preparation of the valuation of design elements of services works as part of the tendering process Ensure build ability, cost effectiveness and a high standard of finish as required. Ensure the management of site design documents. Establish, monitor and manage site design and procurement program cognisant of LU's quality standards and processes. Ensure design integration is implemented and effective, particularly during the design phase Implement a value engineering program in relation to the services scope Provide technical assistance in reviewing design-oriented variations, audit consultants' quality assurance programmes. Ensure test and commissioning plans are produced and implemented to meet the completion requirements Manage and resolve all design issues that may be raised from time to time by clients, authorities, LU management and others. Provide assistance and advice on authorities' approval issues. Management and coordination of documentation required to achieve Completion Management of site document control systems, including maintenance of the document registers (drawings, specifications, RFI's etc).
