Job Purpose Our client is looking to recruit a senior nurse in ICU (Intensive Care Unit) for their purpose built hospital in London. Reporting to the Lead Nurse, the senior staff nurse is responsible for assisting and organising all activities of the nursing team. You will enjoy leading, and be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs, and for the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. Job Description Ensure high standards of care for patients and their families by: Coordinating department staff activities as required, Deliver and manage nursing care to a high standard, Working within agreed standards, ensuring a foremost commitment to patient care, Being accountable, Liaise with Consultants and SPRs to ensure clinical management, and exceptional nursing care in a multi-disciplinary team environment, Act as 'Bleep Holder' when taking charge of the unit as a member of the resuscitation team. Contribute to effective management by: Adopting a flexible approach to staffing and assisting absence management, Ensuring medicines management in accordance with policies, Assist with efficient temporary staff management, Assisting other area's as and when required, Person Specification This is not your average role. Our client are looking for someone who takes a forefront dedication to the nursing profession, the delivery of and development of patient care through research and audit, and an enthusiastic and motivational person. You must be: 1st Level nurse with extensive Level 3 post registration experience in critical care, Well organised, Be familiar with the research and audits and implementing findings into care, Be able to communicate effectively with staff of all specialities and seniorities, Be committed to continual professional development, To apply, please click apply.
