| Job description | We are a fast growing start-up group buying website. We search out deals from businesses around London, and post them on our site to sell to our database of customers. The business launched late in 2010, and aims to expand fast in 2011. We currently have an opening to join the very small team, working directly with the 2 founders of the company. There are excellent opportunities to build a sales team and become more involved in the running of the business.
Your role will be to contact businesses, and to negotiate with them to secure a feature on the site. First contact can be made by email, with follow ups by telephone or in person. The ideal candidate will be confident and fluent both in person and over the phone, and be able to write professional emails. They will also have a good grasp of the group buying industry, and will be familiar with our larger rivals Groupon, Living Social and KGB deals. The ideal candidate will be focused on hitting monthly targets, and able to perform week in week out. They will also be available for an immediate start. Basic salary will be in the region of £10-15k with an estimated additional £10-£20k in commissions. Sales experience is required. There is opportunity in the future to work from home for parts of the week, and to work flexible hours, although you will be expected to start on an 8 hour day basis in Baker Street.
