Job description Business Development Manager – HospitalityLadder.com
As a business development manager, you'll be responsible for building up a business through gaining new customers and accounts. HospitalityLadder.com is a new company and this role has scope for opportunity.
Responsibilities include:
• Following up new business opportunities
• Establishing and maintaining working relationships
• Communicating new product developments to prospective clients
• Overseeing the development of marketing literature and campaigns
• Administering accounts and writing reports
• Acting as the Press/Media and Public Relations representative of the company
• When required setting up meetings and presenting to prospective clients.
You will:
• Be responsible for a team of up to 2 Regional Sales Managers (expanding to 4 in the future)
• Report directly to the Managing Director.
Hours and Environment
This position is very much driven by the candidate. It is expected that you are available from 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday to answer phone calls and emails but as the position is commission-based, you can dictate your hours provided the business target levels are being achieved. Your job may involve travelling to visit clients and attending corporate events.
For this reason, it is expected that work from home with expenses being paid for phone use and any travel. We are wanting to get the right candidate and would also be pleased to consider stay at home parents.
Skills and Interests
Prospective candidates will need:
• Good business sense and understanding of marketing websites and branding
• Understanding or willingness to learn about their market and competitors' products
• Good communications skills, both writing and verbally
• To be self-motivated but able to work as part of a team
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• A positive attitude
• Good negotiation skills and persuasiveness
• Confidence presenting to large groups of people
• Initiative and enterprise
• To be an effective leader
• Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information
• A smart appearance and professional manner
• To enjoy networking and meeting new people.
• A driving licence is an advantage.
Package
The position is commission based on ALL company revenue and in addition there will be an achievable bonus structure. An allocation of expenses will be given for mobile phone use and travel.
