ote We are seeking someone with experience in corporate fundraising sales or business development for the role of (Volunteer) Business Development Manager in which you will support Safe UK more forward in its development and take us to the next steps. You must also be able to commit to a minimum of 6 months (more if you can offer this) Safe UK is a not for profit young people s organisation that provides free independent information advice and support to all young people aged 11 to 25 years old who live work study or socialise in London regardless of their gender background culture religion sexual orientation disabilities etc. Safe UK is currently in its initial set up and developmental stage and is currently building its policies procedures and organisation systems and structure to ensure that our core services will meet the needs of the young people we aim to reach. Safe UK will be providing the following core services to young people across London Information Advice and Guidance Counselling Personal Development and Life Skills Art Drama and Music Therapy Life Coaching Alternative Therapies Sexual Health Services and Social and Support Groups. We are currently seeking a Volunteer for the position of Business Development Manager for at least 8-10 hours per month (flexible) to join our team at Safe UK. The main responsibility of this role is to lead on and roll out business strategies and plans as well as working with management and the Board of Trustees to identify needs of the organisation and what s wanted to continue the development of Safe UK. The other main responsibility is to secure funding by grant applications and presentations and secure and manage major donors and corporate sponsors that will ensure that Safe UK can grow and develop its work with young people while keeping up to date with Charity Law and in-tune with the business commercial economy you will support the organisation in becoming financially stable and raising its profile across London including the City and Canary Wharf (London and the UK s biggest business arena. Other duties include Assisting in writing funding bids Develop strategic plans for the organisation that can meet both short and long term priorities Collect collate the recorded information Provide statistical reports on monthly basis enabling the organisation to promote the great work being completed Initiating contact with potential major donors and corporate sponsors and developing the contact into a lead using a variety of presales tools and techniques then following through on leads and marketing activities to establish key business opportunity. Ensure internal and external publications staff communications and other publications are utilised in full to market events and promote the organisation. Governance Business Planning Financial Management Strategic Development Presentations Stakeholder Management as well as some project management. You must be able to nurture and manage business relationship in a professional manner as an ambassador of the organisation and you must also have experience of getting the work completed within tight timescales. Ability to work under pressure organised and able to meet tight deadlines 4. Ability to multi-task and work effectively on several active projects at any one time with excellent attention to detail 5. Drive initiative and enthusiasm 6.
