ooking for a Mother s Help Nanny to work with our family on a part time live out basis in Islington N1. We have one girl (15 months old. My husband will be looking after her for several months and the purpose of this position is to help him as much as me. Start date 28 Feb 2011 (negotiable) Duration 4 months with possibility of extension. The position involves approximately 20-23 hours a week including some babysitting. Reasonable flexibility about the hours is important but generally the hours will be Mon to Thurs 2 7pm (days negotiable) babysitting one evening per week (some weeks. About Us We are a friendly and professional couple in our late 30s. I commute to Cambridge 2-4 days a week and work shorter days in London the rest of the week. For a few months my husband is taking the opportunity to be a hands-on Dad in the morning. We are expecting our second child in July. L (15 months) is a cute and sociable toddler. She has typical interests for her age (hide and seek nursery rhymes babbling shape sorters etc) and will soon be talking. She sleeps and eats well. We have two cats who are very much part of the family. Our house is a comfortable three bedroom house in Islington with a garden and children s activities nearby. Requirements The right personality is very important. We are looking for someone intelligent sensible animated and fun with children mature and polite in adult company cheerful fit and healthy organised punctual and interested in the world around them. In addition the successful applicant will speak very good English be very safety conscious be a non-smoker. Ideally you will also have prior experience working with children from 0 3 years. The Position The hours are described above. During this time the role is to help with tasks necessary to achieve a happy well-organised family. For example constructive and developmental play with L assisting with her daily routine (feeding changing bathing naps story time preparing vegetables attending a local activity going for a walk etc) keeping the nursery and play area clean and tidy light housekeeping (e.g. emptying dishwasher wiping table. We have a regular cleaner for other housecleaning duties. occasional preparation of meals which can be frozen for the family (if L is sleeping) Benefits Approx £6.70 7.00 per hour depending on experience.
