alace Garden Centre is not your ordinary garden centre our small but busy site offers a tranquil oasis in the heart of a very desirable area of London where product selection presentation and customer service are key to our success. We re seeking a customer friendly Office Assistant with excellent administration and computer skills (proficiency with Ms Word. Excel. This a flexible part time position of 16 -20 hours per week. The successful individual will speak and write excellent English and be eligible to work in the UK. A competitive salary is offered along with additional benefits. Main Tasks 1. To ensure that all correspondence (written verbal electronic) is handled promptly and appropriately. 2. To process discount card applications renewals and maintain databases. 3. To update the website regularly as directed by the Business Manager. 4. To compose and send newsletters regularly as directed by the Business Manager. 5. To assist in the production of marketing materials including press releases advertising and signage. 6. To assist with the preparation for events and promotional activities. 7. To ensure that all documentation and forms are updated regularly e.g. Garden Centre procedures health and safety. 8. To ensure that stationery and consumables are sufficiently stocked in all areas of the garden centre and to monitor their use raising any concerns with the Business Manager. 9. To raise invoices and purchase orders as directed. 10. To answer the telephone and process or forward any enquiries. Fulham Palace Garden Centre is run on behalf of Fairbridge the national charity supporting young people. Fairbridge works with young people aged 13-25 that other organisations find difficult to engage giving them the motivation self-confidence and skills they need to change their lives.
