ning Support Teacher Ks3 Ks4 Ks5 East London borough of Tower Hamlets September 2010 start Long Term Maternity Cover Initial 9 Month Placement Competitive Daily Rate £120 150 Per Day dependent on Experience Supportive & Organised Sen department This 11-18 Outstanding Catholic Co-Ed Secondary school located within the inner city East London borough of Tower Hamlets requires an experienced Sen Learning Support Teacher to join this supportive and organised Sen department initially on a nine month placement to cover the current teachers maternity leave from a September 2010. The teaching task s associated within this role will be to undertake the provision of learning support for Sen students and the associated pastoral and administrative duties in respect of the students as well as the general responsibilities in the school as agreed with the Headmaster in accordance with the ethos vision and priorities of a Catholic High School. The teaching commitment is to support with the preparation of the teaching and learning materials required for the weekly delivery of the Y10 and the Y11 Additional Qualifications and Skills Group option block and to work closely with the Senco to ensure the implementation and delivery of the teaching and learning elements of the course. The position will also require the chosen candidate to coordinate and ensure the delivery of all aspects of the Asdan programmes of study and as part of this to research and support the development of this additional curriculum provision. You will liaise with colleagues from all curriculum areas in order to ensure a consistent approach to the implementation of Special Educational Needs support throughout the school. Meet regularly with the Senco for feedback on matters relating to the support of students with Sen. A particular type of candidate with a strong work ethic and motivation will be required. You will undertake a programme of professional development by attending inset and courses relevant to the post of an Sen Teacher. You will have the willingness to participate positively in the programme of after school and lunch time revision classes according to department requirements.
