iendly English French family of 5 are looking for a kind enthusiastic and loving female au pair preferably French speaking to take sole charge of our 3 children (aged 11 9 and 23 months) and dog for 4 full days per week (Monday Wednesday Thursday and Friday. Generally hours would be 7.30am to 6.30pm but there will be the odd morning where you would only be needed from 10.30am depending on parents work schedule. One night a week babysitting (very rarely on a weekend. I am English and my husband is French English and he and our two older children are bilingual. We would ideally like our new au pair to speak in French when in sole charge of the children but we generally speak English as a family. Our eldest child attends the French Lycee in South Kensington and travels to and from school by himself the 9 year old attends a local French school and the youngest is currently at home full time but is due to start nursery in September for a couple of mornings per week to begin with at which point the hours required will reduce. General duties to include school drop offs and pick ups daily trip to park to walk dog playing with and cooking simple meals for toddler attending playgroups general tidying (we have a cleaner who comes once a week and performs miracles on the whole house changing children s sheets as well as your own and washing ironing the children s clothes. The person we are looking for will need to Have an abundance of common sense along with a good sense of humour Have experience of caring for young children Be a non-smoker Preferably be a native French speaker but we will consider all nationalities to find the perfect person Have basic cooking skills Be a minimum of 23 years old hold a valid driving licence and more than 2 years driving experience Like dogs (ours is a Border Terrier small and reasonably well trained Be available for a minimum of 6 months but preferably longer Be independent Be in UK and available for interview In return for all your hard work we are offering a nice bedroom looking out over the garden with tv dvd and wireless broadband 150 per week. 4 weeks paid holiday per year.
