arking on a new online project and we need a developer to lead its creation. Folder Media is a small radio and new media firm that works on projects with third party clients like Absolute Radio Planet Rock the Highways Agency and Nme Radio operates the Arqiva Digital Radio Station of the Year Fun Kids and we re also building a digital radio platform business under the MuxCo banner. As theres a lot going on we feel it is sensible to take on a fixed term developer who can dedicate their full time (and considerable skill) to the project to get us to version 1.0. Youll work with other developers at Folder and the overall Project Manager to ensure we hit all the milestones. In its simplest guise the project is a new way to combine audio with the web. But we can tell you more about that later. What were like 1. Nice. Were a small team who work in one office together so decision making isn t difficult. 2. Specialists. Radio and managing relationships with listeners is at the core of what we do. 3. Focus on delivery. We do what s necessary to deliver projects on time and on budget. 4. Based in Shoreditch. 5. Relentless tea drinkers. What you ll be like 1. Excited about the project. If you re not excited about the work you do whats the point? 2. Focus on the user. This project will have an absolute focus on the user experience. So we need you to have that too. 3. Acronyms. Php MySQL Ajax Apis youll need to be fluent and able to bend them to our collective will. 4. Scalability. As well as scaling your own time we re interested in people that can use the benefits of the cloud to make the site speedy and responsive. 5. Youll write clear commented code. Experience Were a results driven business so the key thing in your Cv and covering letter is to demonstrate how the things youve done up to now are clever quality solutions to interesting problems. We need to be comfortable that you can take on significant responsibilities and deliver what you ve promised. If youve got experience in audio and or dealing with the problems of managing large (or a large number of) media files that would be helpful as well.
